Hello Ladies
Well what a start to the season, freezing conditions for the 1st Division Spring Meeting, hail, wind and rain for the Tegner and Championship, and 2 & 3rd Division Meeting had sunshine & showers with the claxon sounding for lightening.
Congratulations to all who entered especially the prize winners at these events, 1st Division and Gold Medal winner Djura Macrae-Stoelwinder (Calcot), 3rd Division Alison Raeburn (Donnington Valley) and 2nd Division Kjersti Cannon (Caversham Heath) and well done to the Anne Bryant qualifiers, good luck.
The Tegner was won by Laura Webb (East Berks) in tough weather with a fantastic score of 145 (75 & 70), the Championship weather faired a little better, although the wind did get up on the Sunday. well done to the 16 who qualified. Laura had a tight match in the 1st round against Emily Shaw who took her to the 21st - Laura then progressed to the final playing Djura Macrae-Stoelwinder and Avril Schmidt where she meet Tracy Crew (Reading) who had beaten Nicki Ochtman, Sheree Dove-Wilde and Zoe Collins the 1st junior to qualify for the championships in 7 years, Laura won the final 2&1.
Therefore the team for County Week from Monday 17th June until Friday 21st June on The Red Course, Frilford, Oxfordshire will be;- Tracy Crew & Avril Schmidt (Reading) Laura Webb & Karen Thompson (East Berks), Linda Hunt & Lizzie Swallow (Newbury & Crookham), Maddy Pearce & Maureen Harman (Sand Martins), Djura Macrae-Stoelwinder (Calcot), Sheree Dove-Wilde (Chobham). Please come and watch some great golf and support the team if possible.

In order to keep your handicap active, you must play in three qualifying competitions per year.
