Hello Ladies

The season is now fully underway with the Winter Competitions all being finished before the end of March. With Nikki from Castle Royal winning a stunning Winter Knockout final against Ishbel from Easthampstead Ladies on a breezy cold bright afternoon at Goring and Streatley. The winter scratch final was also played on a cold overcast afternoon at Newbury and Crookham with Tracy from Reading overcoming Laura from East Berks at the 19th.

The 1st division spring meeting was dry and cold at Royal Ascot seeing Laura from East Berks winning the Gold Medal, and Denise from Royal Ascot winning the handicap.

The Tegner Trophy was won by Laura from East Berks at Temple in cold dry conditions, (this is a popular weather condition so far this year), with a winning score of 151. The Championship conditions stayed the same for the whole weekend, for the 16 qualifiers. Many of the matches went extra holes more than I can remember it was fascinating to watch! The final between Laura from EB and Maddy from SM was an easy final to referee it was played in the most wonderful spirit and for 30+ spectators who braved the cold, were treated to some wonderful golf, to the 2 finalist well played to those who supported them, a big thank you it makes it extra special for them. Congratulations to Laura our new Champion for 2012.

This week sees the 2nd/3rd Division spring meeting at Mapledurham lets hope all conditions stay the same.
