Inter-Club Shield
Monday 20 May 2013 at Downshire Golf Club
All Clubs in Berkshire affiliated to the County Association may enter a team for this Competition.
Teams consist of THREE players. Each member of the team plays one round of STABLEFORD on current handicap, partnered by her opposite numbers in two of the other teams. The team with the highest aggregate of the TWO BEST SCORES from the three cards returned will be the winners of The Shield. If scores are level the 3rd card will be used to decide the winner or the runner-up.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 Each player must be a member of the Club, which she represents.
- 2 Each player must be a Full member of The Berkshire County Ladies’ Golf Association.
- 3 No player is eligible to compete if she has actually played in the County First team in the current or immediately preceding year.
- 4 Players may compete with an Active Handicap up to 30.
- 5 If a player arrives at her starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after her starting time, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in the Rules of Golf, Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole. A player over five minutes late on her starting tee shall be disqualified.

Entry Fee:
£15.00 per team player includes Green Fees, tea/coffee on arrival; Downshire Golf Complex Season Ticket Holders pay £2.00 for coffee/tea on arrival. Total cost per team will be £45 (£6 for Downshire Season Ticket Holders) and MUST be sent at the same time as the names of the players and their handicap details. Sandwiches can be ordered and paid for by players when booking in and will be ready on completion of their round.
