Junior Colours
There is a national order of merit which awards points to girls for achievement in team events, such as county matches, and county championships as well as some other prestigious competitions which the girl would enter as an individual. The national order of merit can be viewed in full on the English Women's Golf Association (EWGA) website
BCLGA adult team members achieve colours on reaching 12 colours pts although, there is discretion to vary this. Automatic colours go to the county champion and the runner up receives two colours points.
From 2011 there are two types of Junior Colours that you can play for, Junior County Colours which are based on scratch events and results and Junior Playing Colours which are based on handicap events and results.
Junior County Colours
The formula for awarding Junior County Colours reflects the national events and also includes prestigious regional events that the girl would enter as an individual, as well as relevant County Events, County Junior Events, Junior Club Championships and County Matches (1st and 2nd Team and Junior). All such should be scratch events. We have taken account of the limited time girls have to be able to achieve colours status in determining the formula. 12 junior pts accumulated during a girl's junior career will earn her Junior County Colours.| 2011 | 2010 | 2009 | 2008 | 2007 |
